UNIFORM

The Broadgreen Intermediate Uniform is purchased online from PROBANDS.

Size samples are available for try ons at our office.

WINZ Funding is available, further information can be found on the ProBands website. 

School Uniform

Our school uniform is compulsory, and students are expected to wear the correct items in a clean and tidy condition each day.  We appreciate whānau support in maintaining these expectations.

Uniform exemptions - Short term change: Provide a note from home.  Longer-term or alternative uniform: Requires a uniform pass from the Deputy Principal.

Name Everything!  - Please ensure all items (uniform, shoes, sandals, sports gear etc) are clearly named.  Lost property is located at the student centre.

Black logo bucket hats are compulsory in Terms 1 & 4

Footwear

  • Suitable, appropriate footwear such as sneakers or sandals (summer)

  • Plain socks - white, black, navy or grey

Winter Options  (Terms 2 & 3)

  • ​Dark green, blue, black or white thermal tops (long or short sleeves - worn under shirts) 

  • Green, black or blue beanies and scarves may be worn to and from school, and at break times

Jewellery & Hair

Allowed - Wristwatches, ear piercings, and taonga of cultural significance

​Restricted - Other jewellery, coloured nail polish, and makeup are not part of the uniform

Hairbands and ties must be in school colours (green or house colours) and fastened appropriately for school activities.  For jewellery of special significance, a note must be provided to the Deputy Principal - a uniform pass may be issued.   

Specialist Class Safety

In Technology and specialist subjects:

  • Fully enclosed shoes are compulsory ​

  • Long hair must be tied back

  • No scarves permitted in workshops
