Broadgreen Principal/Tumuaki vacancy 

Broadgreen Intermediate School is recruiting for the position of Principal/Tumuaki.

We seek an energetic, dynamic, experienced and visionary education leader who will continue to propel our kura forward. 

Our school population is currently 528 students, 50 of whom learn in our bilingual class, Te Kōhao o Te Ngira. 

Our school is developing a strong relationship with our kaitiaki iwi, Ngāti Koata, and takes pride in the connections we have with all schools in our Kahui Ako. 

Our ākonga have access to a diverse range of opportunities to discover a talent and we make great use of the natural resources available within our wider geographic region.

• Work in partnership with a supportive community and forward-looking Board. 

 

Our new Tumuaki will drive the realisation of the Board’s strategic vision. 

We are seeking an individual who: 

• Is engaging and relational in their practice, a strong leader who prioritises high academic standards, inspires all staff, and takes responsibility for overall school performance. 

• Takes a collaborative approach to decision making within the kura and wider community. 

• Articulates vision through clear and professional communication, welcomes different viewpoints, and empowers all staff to be effective at what they do and grows future leaders at all levels. 

• Is committed to continue strengthening the relationship with the school’s kaitiaki iwi, Ngāti Koata, to achieve the best outcomes for all our ākonga. 

• Has an awareness of the developmental stages of our ākonga and will be an advocate for inclusion and equity.
