School Uniforms

  School uniform is mandatory for all students. All items must be clearly labelled.

Boys

  • Black Asic Track Pants    NB:(Stirling Sport will discount these for Broadgreen students)
  • Green Sweatshirt
  • Green or white collared polo-shirt school uniform:
  • Fawn cotton shorts*
  • Plain white/black socks
  • Sandals or lace up flat leather shoes in black or brown that can be polished

 

Girls

  • Black Asic Track Pants    NB:(Stirling Sport will discount these for Broaddgreen students)
  • Green Sweatshirt
  • Green or white collared polo-shirt or white blouse
  • Fawn cotton shorts* /Black watch tartan skirt - knee length*
  • Navy or black tights in winter - or knee length black or white socks
  • Sandals (T-bar) acceptable
  • Flat soled lace up leather shoes in black or brown that can be polished

School scarves may be worn in Terms 2 and 3.  The school colours of blue, blackand green are approved.  Postie Plus has a variety to choose from.

Sun Hats

Broadgreen Intermediate School has adopted a compulsory sunhat policy for Term 1 and 4.  The school hat is available through Postie Plus.

Physical Education & Sports Uniform (Boys & Girls)  Uniform1 2005:

  • Green and black 'quick dry' shirt
  • Green and Black Shorts with logo
  • Plain white socks
  • Suitable footwear

* Items marked thus are available new from: Broadgreen Intermediate School, (The Centre)

All other items can be purchased at Postie Plus, Trafalgar Street, Nelson and Richmond Mall, Richmond.

Other Options Are:

  • Polar Fleece top - boys or girls
  • Polar Fleece vest - boys or girls
  • Nayland College weatherproof jackets may be worn. These may be purchased through the Student Office at Nayland College.
  • Jewellery and coloured nail polish are not considered part of the school uniform.
  • The exceptions to this are wrist watches and single ear stud in each ear. All hair bands and ties must be in the school colours - black, white,blue, ot the school green and fastened in an appropriate manner to the activities of the day.  Make-up is not permitted.
  • Some second hand uniforms are avaliable for sale in the Centre.  You are welcome to view our stock during school hours.  We usually have one uniform sale a year which is well advertised in the schol newsletter/website and The Nelson Mail.

Technology Uniform

Shoes must be worn in woodcraft workshop as a matter of safety. Aprons are supplied where necessary.

Dress Code

Every student is expected to wear the approved school uniform correctly and in a clean and tidy condition. The correct sports uniform should be worn when required.

If a student needs to wear a short term change to the usual uniform, parents are saked to provide a note.  Any longer term change or alternative uniform pieces requires a pass from the Deputy Principal.

Naming of Personal Belongings

  • All property, including school uniform, shoes, sandals, sportswear etc must be named with students initals and surname.
  • Lost property can be claimed at 'The Centre"
  • We will do what we can to return property but the school takes no responsibility for persoanl belongings.
